Can a Christian Own a Bar?

Christians should not own a bar no matter what good excuses you have. You may give excuses that you can use it as an opportunity to preach the gospel to non believers but it is still against God’s commandments. This is because a bar encourages activities that are against the bible such as smoking, getting drunk, prostitution, violence and etc. You are behaving like a pagan by operating a bar yet you try to convert people and lead them to God. If the people of the world sees you behave like the world, they will also not come to believe in Jesus Christ. It is straightforward that people open bar because bar is a good money making business.

Some churches may open bars with excuse of spreading the gospel and getting more money for their missionary. This is wrong because Christians should not compromise to the world. When you compromise to the world, you are opening a door for the devil to come in. The devil is always watching for an opportunity to attack so you should not think that it is okay to sin as much as you want and then think God will tolerate it since you are also serving God at the church. Money is of the devil. If you want to earn money, you should do business that brings benefits to the society, not causing more harm to people.

I will seek it yet again. (Proverbs 23:29-35 KJV)

(1 Corinthians 6:9-10 KJV)
