Can Christians Take Part in Gossiping?

gossip

Gossip is talking about the rumors of the affairs of others. Christians should not take part in gossiping about anyone including celebrity, church members, pastors and etc. We should not be busy body and get involved in other people’s businesses. If you see someone gossiping, you should avoid taking part in the conversation. If your friend tells you a secret, you must keep it to yourself and not tell it to others. If you tell it to others, you are betraying your friend. Gossiping may also be lying, since you are reporting about the rumors of others. Lying is a sin.
