It is okay for Christians to join the army and serve their country. It is not wrong to fight and kill your enemies in war since you are doing it as a duty for your country. However, you must know that joining the army may be a snare to you as it has many people with bad influences over you. There are many soldiers in the army that smoke, take drugs, scold bad words, cheat, violent, gay, sexually immoral, tattoos and etc. Mingling with people that has bad influence on you and cause you to become like them so that you are led away from Christ. Bad company can corrupt good character. It depends on your motive for joining the army. You should pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal to you whether it is his will for you to join the army.
