Bible Study on Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

ATimeforEverything

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV)

There is a timing for everything that happen in this universe. God created the universe and the earth and everything in them. He is always watching the earth and know what is going on. We should not fret about God not listening to our prayers but patiently wait upon him. When you continue to pray and patiently look forward to him answering your prayer, God will surely answer your prayer one day. Often, we get frustrated because it seemed that nothing happens after we pray for so long. God wants us to be patient so that we can build up our faith.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV)

But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. (Psalm 31:14-15 KJV)

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. (Romans 12:12 KJV)

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (Romans 8:25 KJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. (Jeremiah 29:11-14 KJV)

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (Philippians 4:6 KJV)

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Romans 5:3-5 KJV)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 KJV)

Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. (James 5:8 KJV)

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. (James 1:3-4 KJV)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 KJV)
